Two weeks ago, I travelled up to the gorgeous Stancliffe Hall to shoot an engagement session with Gemma & Joel. They both live in Dubai & are getting married next summer – so we planned in the shoot whilst they were over on a short visit. The weather was truly freeeezing! We saw snow on the hills of Matlock as we drove up – and despite this, Gemma & Joel were amazing, and even took off coats/gloves/scarfs (I’m so mean!).. Styling the session was the one & only Michele Gledhill - who also provided some beautiful florals. With a ‘Tuscan’ theme and props including mini oil jars, bread, wine, bistro chairs, hanging ivy, lace, old Italian books – Michele really worked her magic to reflect some of Gemma & Joel’s passions – vintage + travel. We started the shoot outdoors and then went inside to defrost. Here are some of my favourites:

Hey Jade, really nice pictures here, did you style, or was that Gemma and Joels touch? Hope all is well!

Hi Matt, The styling was by Michele Gledhill http://www.michelegledhill.co.uk

A while ago, Tom got in touch with me & said he’d like to suprise his girlfriend Ellie for her birthday, with a photo shoot. We finally arranged a day a couple of weeks ago (after a few times of cancelling – annoying english summertime) and met at Calke Abbey. We had a really sweet session and I thought I’d share with you some of my favourites:

24The rain held off and the sun was brightly shining for Ali & Hannah as they exchanged vows last Saturday. It was a gorgeous day & was filled with lots of summery, pretty details too (I had the priviledge of working alongside Michele Gledhill who styled the day & created the gorgeous florals). I had the help of my fab second shooter Emma too!
I loved the colours that Ali & Hannah had picked for their day ~ striking yellows in the flowers and bunting, yummy teal in the vintage vases & bottles, lushious greens in the bow-ties and bridesmaid’s dresses…see for yourself!

Happy Father’s Day…

Happy Father’s day to my most wonderful Daddy Warbucks! Thank you for your support & love. Thank you for caring enough to go searching for me in the middle of the night when I was 15 (even if it was in your dressing gown). Thank you for all your advice & wisdom..I love you very much!

And also to my wonderful husband who is an incredible Daddy to our Bailey boy. I’m sure B would say a few words if he could. But for now I’ll just say ~ thank you for all you do. For the early mornings when you get up without a word, for the times you get up in the night to settle Bailey, for the times you looked after us when we were both feeling poorly, the random trips to the supermarket to get diet coke and sweets when I’ve got no energy left at the end of the day! So thankful for your generous & servant heart. Here’s a photo from tonight’s bedtime routine…xx

091I’m finally getting round to blogging these images…A few weeks ago, I drove down to Malvern for a vintage inspired fashion shoot. The whole event was organised by the lovely Theresa Furey, who did such a great job. Gorgeous models, fab hair & makeup artist and lots of new photographer friends = such a great day!

The models were so professional & did such a great job - despite it raining all day.

A huge thanks to:
Theresa for organising such a great event, Le Keux Events for hair, makeup and styling, Vivien of Holloway for attire, Barrington Chauffer Services for 1950 vintage cars and
Miss Ruby Sue for a vintage inspired headdress…and lastly the beautiful models -  Clare Hughes, Melanie Armsden and Chara Jackson 011041

Thanks Jade, these look so good.

I met Leckie at a recent wedding event at Stancliffe Hall. Leckie is the director of a new stationary company called Pocket Typewriter. Together with her brother, they produce the most amazing invites and cards - with charming illustrations and creative designs. I just love them! Check out their brand new site to view their collections - their invites are a perfect way to wow your guests and set the tone of what’s to come.

After meeting Leckie & John, they opted for an engagement shoot. So we headed to John’s family home making use of the gorgeous grounds, long grass, wild flowers, a vintage bike, rowing boat & even a horse! I was loving it :) Huge thanks to Michele for doing a fabulous job with the styling. Incorporating vintage lace, a patchwork quilt, beautiful flowers hanging in bottles from a tree, handmade tags and much more! I’ll leave you with these for now…and I’m excited to see what John & Leckie have in store for their wedding…
