I’m really looking forward to the weekend, as it’s the wedding of Luke & Fiona. I went down to London a few weeks ago for a little engagement shoot in Valentine’s Park. It was such a gorgeous little spot & the light was amazing. Love shoots in the evening with the glow of the sun…Here are some of my faves:

Sylvia & Kevin’s engagement shoot took place in the grounds of Elvaston Castle my favourite place to shoot! It seems like each time I visit, I find a new little spot with great potential. The weather wasn’t great, and right at the end, it started pouring. But Sylvia & Kevin were great & didn’t mind posing in the rain! Here are a few from the session:
So, just a little bit behind on the blog…! I’m so excited for my close friends, Laura & Jamie, who are expecting their first baby in the next couple of weeks. Come on baby C, we can’t wait to meet you! Hoping to do a shoot with them both before the baby pops out…

…has just turned 8 months last week. I really can’t believe how quickly time is flying by. I know everyone says that, but seriously, it is! I took Bailey out into the garden this week - so excited that he’s sitting up now & I can start taking more interesting pics of him (rather than just lying on his back). He’s actually getting used to the camera always in his face, & has started giving me cheeky little grins whenever I pull it out!

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of taking some photos of my friend Josi’s baby girl, Pippa. These photos were taken when she was around 3 weeks old (I think?) & she is so adorable! I had lots of fun taking these pics - even if she did poo all over my carpet!

Seven weeks ago today, I gave birth to our amazing boy, Bailey Joshua! I can’t believe how quickly time is flying by. He’s already wearing 3-6 month clothing …
I went in on Friday 13th November to be induced. I was actually due on 1st November, but Bailey was obviously following in Dad’s laid-back approach to life. It turned out that my contractions had already started - I had just confused them with Braxton Hicks. So there was me thinking, ‘I’m actually doing OK at this labour thing…it’s not actually that bad’… Oh, silly me.
After having pretty much every kind of pain killer possible and making more noise than I thought I possibly could, our boy was finally born on Saturday 14th November at 1.56pm. During the pregnancy, my midwife had estimated his weight to be about 7lbs… Instead he weighed in at 9lb 3oz! I had my husband & mum there by my side throughout - & I’m so thankful for their support. They were amazing.
It’s been such an amazing, crazy, emotional, joyful, tiring experience - but worth every second! I’d love to share some pics with you…
Whilst I haven’t quite got the balance of being a mum & working figured out yet, I will definately try & keep my blog going over the next few months! Please be patient with me I’m on maternity leave until June, but will still be responding to emails & hopefully be working on some new things over the coming months. Happy New Year by the way! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas & that 2010 will be a great year!
Last weekend me & Pete had set aside some time to decorate our dining room. One of my bright ideas just before the baby arrives. “Yes - we really do need to pull up the carpets”, “Yes - we really do need new wallpaper”, “Yes - I really do need you to make some storage in the alcoves…” Sorry Pete, just call it nesting! I’m in week 37 right now. These last few weeks seem to be flying by - I can’t believe a brand new little person will soon be here…
So anyway, we had said Saturday will be a day of sorting the dining room. Our friends had invited us to lunch & never one to turn down food, accepted the offer (as long as we definately would still have time to do some diy). We arrived at Laura & Jamie’s house & as I walked into the kitchen, a big group cheered ‘SUPRISSSE!’ …. A suprise baby shower! For me?! I was so shocked! I had such a lovely afternoon & received so many lovely gifts. Thank you so much everyone & especially to Laura for arranging it. I felt so so blessed! My mum & sister came up all the way from Northampton & mum-in-law & sis-in-law all the way from London. There was a table full of tiny sandwiches & cupcakes & it was lush! …
A few weeks ago, I went down to London to visit some friends who I hadn’t seen in years…My lovely friend Amy took some photos of me & bump (and it felt so weird to be in front of the camera)…
I’m heading to get my final scan today before actually meeting baby Webb. I’ll never forget the feeling of the first scan, it was amazing. I’m hoping to get another pic this afternoon but here are my other scans at 12 weeks & 20 weeks:

A few weeks ago was the wedding of Charlie & Helen. Being quite far along in my pregnancy, I had Jon Rouston come along & help me for the day - he was a huge help & got some fantastic shots! Not only was I pregnant, but the Bride was too! We had a great day…here are some of my favourites:
